ITA and Microsoft Partner on New Voice Service for Business Communication

This week, ITA launched an innovative telephony service for the Microsoft Teams corporate communications platform, in partnership with Microsoft. This service will enable users to make and receive conventional telephone calls on the Microsoft platform using Angolan telephone numbers from the ITA network.

Microsoft Teams, a unified communication and collaboration tool that combines chat, audio and video conferencing, file storage, and workplace application integration, will enable app users to make phone calls to any landline or mobile network, anywhere in Angola and around the world, allowing multiple people to join meetings via Teams or by phone.

Available for computers and mobile phones, the application makes it easy to receive calls. "In addition to all the collaboration features, users of the voice service via Teams will be able to receive calls on their ITA number, even when they are away from the office, working remotely," says Túlio Jacinto, ITA's Executive Director of Operations.

The reality of increasingly dynamic companies requires applications that build trust and streamline processes, integrating all those involved, dividing roles and responsibilities, especially remotely. With the integration of conventional telephony, Teams has become more practical and processes more transparent, as calls can be recorded and stored as a file that can be consulted. "We are pioneers in launching this service in Angola, an important milestone not only for us as a company but also for the telecommunications market, which now has an extremely comprehensive communication tool that is not only practical but also reduces telephony costs," emphasized Túlio Jacinto.

Companies using this service can achieve communication cost savings of up to around 60%, as calls within the ITA network incur no additional costs. In addition, productivity is higher, as users are always connected, even in unusual circumstances where remote working is necessary, such as during the complex period we are currently experiencing, added Carlos Silva, Commercial Director at ITA.
