Paratus Telecommunications currently has a vacancy for a VAS Technician based in the North.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Installing and supporting VOIP, PBX, and networking solutions (WAN & LAN) to set standards
- General administrative duties tied to the role
- Standby/after-hours availability when needed
- Maintaining SLA-based customer solutions
- Using company-provided applications/tools
- Customer-focused with urgency and attention to detail
- Able to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate within a team
- Professional and technically competent
- Able to perform under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication
The minimum requirements for the position are as follows:
- Grade 12 or equavilant qualification
- Valid code 8 driver’s licence
- A+, N+, CCNA and PBX -related certifications will be advantageous.
Minimum experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in voice, VoIP, PBX or telecommunications, installation and support.
- Experience in SIP, hosted PBX, analogue/digital systems and customer site commissioning.
- Working knowledge of fiber, cabling, network troubleshooting and related customer service environments.
- Practical exposure to A+, N+, CCNA or PBX environments will be advantageous.
