Schalk Erasmus

Schalk Erasmus is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Paratus Group and a respected innovator in African telecoms. With over 20 years of experience, he has led and co-founded several ICT ventures, significantly shaping Paratus footprint across the continent.

Before becoming Group CEO, Schalk served as Chief Operating Officer, driving strategic growth and overseeing critical infrastructure projects. He led the creation of Namibia’s first carrier-neutral facility, the Armada Data Center and negotiated Paratus role as the exclusive landing partner for Equiano Sub-sea Cable.

Schalk began his ICT journey in the late 1990s as a Microsoft Certified Trainer. He later ran his own consultancy and supported organisations like USAID and the United Nations. In 2004, he co-founded Internet Technologies Namibia (ITN), which merged into Paratus Telecommunications in 2014.
