Marius van Vuuren is the Chief Operations Officer of Paratus Group, overseeing operational delivery across the company’s extensive African footprint. With a wealth of experience in ICT infrastructure, network engineering, and telecommunications operations spanning both Africa and Europe, Marius brings deep expertise to his role.

For over a decade, Marius has held senior operational and technical leadership positions within the Group, including as Country Manager for Paratus Zambia. In this capacity, he spearheaded consistent operational growth, led significant infrastructure investments, and played a pivotal role in the development of national fiber and connectivity ecosystems.

His key responsibilities have involved the execution of complex ICT environments, such as IP-based networks, SD-WAN, data centers, cloud solutions, virtualization, platforms, and enterprise communication systems. Marius continues to focus on operational excellence and fostering scalable connectivity across Africa.

Key Achievements & Highlights:

  • Successfully led Paratus Zambia’s operational growth for over a decade.
  • Directed substantial national infrastructure investments and expanded Zambia’s fiber network.
  • Oversaw the delivery and management of a Tier 3 data center, strengthening the regional hosting capability.
  • Contributed to the development of cross-border connectivity routes, enhancing network resilience across the region.
  • Played a significant role in advancing both enterprise and consumer connectivity solutions across Africa.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.), Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
  • Further academic and language studies, University of Applied Sciences Konstanz, Germany.
