Barney Harmse

Group Executive Chairman
Barney has over 25 years’ experience in the Networking and Telco service industry in Africa. Barney was instrumental in establishing commercial Internet in Namibia and, during the last 14 years, he has co-founded various companies across Africa.

Schalk Erasmus

Group Chief Executive Officer
Schalk has been in the Service Provider and Telecommunication industry for over 20 years and has co-founded various companies in Africa, especially in Namibia, Zambia and South Africa, including Paratus.

Rolf Mendelsohn

Group Chief Technology Officer
Rolf is a Namibian-born entrepreneur and committed to driving innovation across the African continent. He co-founded various companies across Africa which, today, form part of the Paratus Group.

Gert Duvenhage

Group Chief Operations Officer
He brings over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry to his role as he leads the operational decisions in Namibia and across all English-speaking countries where the company operates. Gert’s mission is to smooth the way for the company to transform Africa through exceptional digital infrastructure and customer service. He works to ensure that everyone is aligned with the company’s mission.

Stefan de Bruin

Group Chief Financial Officer
Stefan has more than 20 years’ experience in operations and finance, the last 10 of which was spent as an Executive Director of a number of Namibian listed entities. He joined Paratus in 2017 and brings his vast experience and insight to his role.

Ana Santos

Group chief legal officer
Ana has over 25 years of experience in the legal area. Her in-depth expertise in corporate legal affairs, combined with her business background, makes her highly qualified to deliver on her mandate to provide guidence on corporate goverance of Paratus.

Martin Cox

Group Chief Commercial Officer
Martin joined Paratus in 2021 to accelerate its growth and create a unique footprint across Africa. He has a track record of creating landmark deals and a significant pipeline of partnerships across the continent. His goal is to drive group revenue – organically and inorganically – and expand Paratus’ network footprint through building and acquiring infrastructure.

Miles October

Group Chief Marketing Officer
Miles was one of the founding members of Paratus and has 20+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He returned in 2021 to help consolidate the company’s growth plans and has reorganized and built a new department to align marketing with business goals, aiming to double turnover in the next 5 years.
