RAN Engineer

Paratus Telecommunications currently has a vacancy for one (1) RAN Engineer based in Windhoek. However, the successful candidate should be able and flexible to travel across the country.

The successful candidate will have to maintain, implement and commission new RAN base stations and microwave infrastructure. Be able to do fault finding and aid all technicians. Do radio network planning and suggest new sites. The successful candidate should also be able to install, configure and repair VSAT equipment.

The minimum requirements for the position are as follows:

• Friendly and helpful attitude.
• Able to understand technical problems and provide solutions.
• Computer proficiency.
• Working under pressure in a high paced environment.
• Self-motivated and driven.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in radio frequency and telecommunications experience, with installations of Base stations and VSAT.
• Working on and with electricity is an advantage.
• Valid working at heights certificate.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to travel across the country.
