Connectivity coverage in Zambia

Paratus Zambia has established a network extending to major industrial and commercial centres throughout the country, which interconnects to the other African operations as well as international networks outside Africa.

It also hosts critical backhaul routes for the group by providing entry to South Africa and Botswana via fiber access through Lusaka. This forms a ring network in countries that are operational in southern Africa, thereby interconnecting Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and South Africa. It has four routes exiting the country for connectivity, providing additional redundancy for customers across the Group: to Lubumbashi (DRC), to Johannesburg (RSA), to Katima Mulilo (Namibia) and to Gaborone (Botswana). The border crossing to Namibia between Sesheke and Katima Mulilo is on the Group’s own fiber cable. The existing infrastructure and commitment to innovation ensures that it is always prepared to provide exceptional connectivity solutions to the corporate sector of the Zambian market.
